Architectural Draftsman

Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented architectural draftsman to join our architectural design team. You will be creating technical drawings for homes, commercial buildings, and other structures from architects' sketches, incorporating exact measurements and codes, and entering data to generate 3-D design models.

To be successful as an architectural draftsman you should possess solid knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software, and the ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design. A top-notch architectural draftsman will be someone whose drafting expertise contributes to structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing architectural designs.

Architectural Draftsman Responsibilities:

Analyzing building specifications, codes, and sites. Creating technical drawings from architects’ sketches and specifications. 

Using CAD software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.

Printing CAD drawing schematics for use by architects, construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers.Entering CAD data into building information modeling (BIM) systems to create 3-D models and renderings.Preparing drawings, charts, and records with CAD equipment and conventional drafting techniques.

Visiting construction sites to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.Collaborating with architects and construction engineers to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.Keeping abreast of the latest developments and technologies in architectural design.

Architectural Draftsman Requirements:

An associate’s degree or certification program in architectural drafting, or similar. American design drafting association (ADDA) certification preferred. Prior experience as an architectural draftsman will be advantageous. Advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software. In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes, and structural analysis. Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and  design. Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Great analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
Interior Designer

Job Description:

We are looking for artistic, detail-oriented candidates with good interpersonal skills for the position of an interior designer. The interior designer's key responsibilities include visualizing and sketching design plans as per client goals, sourcing products and materials, determining costs and inspecting construction to ensure alignment with design specifications are met. You will also be expected to comply with the regulatory environment around inspections and building codes.

Good interior designers are able to think creatively about the use of space, color and movement and will draw on other artistic mediums for creative inspiration. They will also be effective communicators with the ability to persuade in communicating a design idea 

    Interior Designer Responsibilities:

    Outline client design objectives.

    Conceptualize and sketch design plans.

    Determine cost of completion and project requirements in the budgeting phase.

    Set a timeline for the completion of an interior design project.

    Source materials and products included in plans.

    Create ‘mood boards’ to sample your design vision.

    Utilize computer applications in the design process.

    Inspect design after completion to determine whether client goals have been met.

    Interior Designer Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field.

    Portfolio of design work.

    Project management experience. Experience with computational design.

     Highly creative, imaginative and artistic. Excellent communication skills, especially in regard to communicating an artistic vision. 

    Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software.

      Construction Supervisor

      Job Description:

      We are searching for a reliable, deadline-driven construction supervisor to oversee construction crews at our company. The construction supervisor's responsibilities include recruiting new crew members, monitoring performance and making recommendations for improvement, as well as educating all staff on safety. You should ensure that projects stay within budget and that required materials and equipment are available.

      To be successful as a construction supervisor, you should demonstrate a sound understanding of safety regulations and building codes and be able to transfer this knowledge to your team. Top-notch construction supervisors are leaders who can identify problems and find feasible solutions to them.

      Construction Supervisor Responsibilities:

      Ensuring teams work together to deliver quality work to strict deadlines.

      Monitoring construction processes, and providing training and team building sessions are required.

      Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.

      Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections.

      Scheduling regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff.

      Writing up reports, budgets, project plans, and presenting them to relevant stakeholders.

      Working closely with architects and other professionals.

      Staying up-to-date with safety codes and advancements in
      construction.

      Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff.

      Processing paperwork and traveling to multiple sites as required.

      Construction Supervisor Requirements:

      High school diploma or similar.

      Bachelor’s degree in construction, business, management, or engineering preferable.

      Experience in the construction industry required.

      Experience in a leadership role recommended.

      Valid driver’s license.

      Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

      Ability to focus and keep calm under pressure.

      Ability to keep track of multiple projects.
